The boys and I went up to the botanical gardens today to see the spring butterfly exhibit before it ended. I love seeing the butterflies every time they visit. The boys are getting more into it the older they get. They wanted to learn the names of some of them this time. We also got to see a few lizards and a roadrunner. The boys insisted the roadrunner was a peacock and would not believe me. It is a bigger bird with a tail, so I see how they make the association. My favorite moment was when Noah playfully laid down right in the middle of a trail and covered his eyes and was hiding. 🙂 I love the “if I can’t see you, you can’t see me” phase.
Back in April Papa John went to Heaven. The boys and I travelled back to Oklahoma with Gamma and Papa to be with family. Even thought it was under sad circumstance we still had a nice time with family.
Here is an album of a few photos of my Papa.
Today the boys went to the church’s Easter eggstravaganza and tonight we dyed eggs then went on a glowing egg hunt. A lot of fun was had and way too much sugar was consumed.

Poor Noah has strep throat again. (Luckily he seems to be the only one this time. *fingers crossed*) We actually had no clue he was sick. He had a lack of appetite, but we just thought he was being a three year old. On Friday morning he was fine, maybe a little tired but happy and played well. We even went to lunch with Papa where he played his little heart out. When we got home he was almost immediately stricken by stomach pain. Since it was Friday and I didn’t want to deal with urgent care I decided to see if the doctor could get us in and they could.
She immediately thought strep throat, but then become worried when Noah was clearly in severe pain. We tried to get urine for more tests but no luck. She told me if the pain didn’t subside and he developed a fever to take him to the Children’s hospital. She was now worried about appendicitis.
I made my parents pick up Ez and had Matt come to the doctor’s office because I couldn’t take anymore of Noah’s pain. Matt was just what Noah needed, he fell asleep in Matt’s arms. Which the doctor took as a good sign and we were sent home and told to just take his temp regularly.
Noah wanted to go to daddy’s office while I got his prescription filled. He perked up when he got to play with the ipad by himself. He had one more hour long bought of severe pain when we got home and we almost left for the hospital, but he never did get a fever. Two doses of antibiotics and he is on the mend.
Ezra was very upset he couldn’t help take Noah to the doctor, but he ended up having a great afternoon with Gamma, Papa, and Abby.
We got the boys big boy bikes. Ezra loves his. Noah still prefers his balance bike.

“Food goes all the way down to my shirt.” Ezra
While I was making breakfast yesterday, Ezra asked for a piece of the bell pepper I was chopping. They never actually eat bell peppers, but I keep trying so I gave it to him. He actually ate it this time and this is what he said, “I ate it momma, now I’m bigger enough to get coffee.”
Noah pointing to his lemonade, “This is my beer.”
This morning the boys were playing with their yogurt instead of eating. So we had yet another conversation about how food isn’t a toy and it is to nourish our bodies so we can grow big and strong. The boys usually also talk about it giving them energies like Plex, but today Ezra had a different response that made me giggle.
“It will help you grow so much bigger, so you can get coffee.”
Good goal my son. 🙂
I have told them repeatedly they have to be big to get coffee.
Yep I’m going to try to bring it back, but I give no guarantee.
<3 how they think real mail is an email thanks to Elmo.
